Junior Digital Marketing Executive

Looking for an entry-level Digital Marketing position that will jump-start your online marketing career?

Then welcome to Hedgehog.

We have a hands-on role working on our client campaigns to deliver successful digital marketing strategies. As a Junior Digital Marketing Executive, you will be part of our SEO team and will learn how to conduct keyword research, on-page optimisation, auditing of a website & analysing data to identify opportunities for our clients to help them meet success online. Being organised, keen on data and having a good grasp of written English is essential.

This role offers lots of variety; every day is different in this role. From performing keyword research & analysing opportunities to reporting, creating content, updating websites, and keeping up to date with industry changes, this job is a great opportunity to learn about digital marketing.

As this role will be client-facing - we are looking for someone who feels confident speaking to clients and delivering strategies and reports, along with day-to-day client management.

This role may suit a marketing or business graduate, as well as ambitious individuals who have a keen interest in starting a role in digital marketing.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the SEO Manager to deliver SEO recommendations & strategies
  • Data analysis & opportunity identification
  • Monthly reporting, analysis & feedback to clients
  • Organising content schedules, proofreading and creating content
  • Evaluating opportunities utilising SEO software tools

Key Skills Required

  • Good level of written English
  • Strong communication & organisational skills
  • Comfortable with data
  • Demonstrable interest in marketing, specifically around data use & analysis – or a very keen interest in aspects of digital marketing.

    JOB PURPOSE: Implementing our digital marketing services and building relationships with our client base to generate maximum results and efficiency.

     

    You will also be expected to do things like:

    • Perform keyword research in line with client business objectives to optimise existing and new content and uncover new opportunities
    • Assist in the development and execution of communication/content strategies, in line with SEO goals

      Full Stack Web Developer

      The Role

      We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Full Stack Developer. You’ll need to have a good understanding of the common coding languages, as well as a positive approach to all the necessary day-to-day duties.

      You will be expected to work alongside our Design team, Copywriters & Search Engine Optimisation team, building new websites, developing new core features, resolving issues on existing websites and helping with other SEO related task
      • You’ll be responsible for handling new website builds. Working with the design team through to completion and launch.
      • You’ll be responsible for receiving queries and issues from existing websites, identifying the cause of the issue and putting the necessary fixes into place.
      • You’ll be working with a variety of platforms, predominately WordPress but also other platforms including but not limited to Magento & Shopify.
      • Regularly taking backups of websites, databases and updating plugins, ensuring all website functionality and layout remains working.
      • The ability to work well with the Design & SEO team, as well as other departments, is crucial.
      • The successful candidate should have a working knowledge of PHP 7, Laravel Framework, MySQL, JavaScript, Git, Linux, HTML 5 & coding languages.
      • Experience in Database design.
      • Experience in developing responsive web applications.
      • A good understanding of the WordPress, Magento & Shopify framework.
      • You are good at prioritising. You are always looking for ways to make your products better while also taking a considered approach to priorities to ensure the right things get worked on.
      • Problem solving – you must be proficient at being able to analyse problems, identify the cause, investigating and finding a solution.

        The Role

        As a Senior SEO Executive, you will be working on various clients across many different sectors, from smaller individual companies to large international accounts.
