Role Overview
As a PPC Specialist at Hedgehog Digital, you will take ownership of paid advertising strategies across platforms including Google Ads and Meta, driving measurable performance for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will be a core member of our Paid Media team, bringing a proactive mindset and genuine willingness to collaborate — working closely with SEO and Strategy colleagues to ensure seamless alignment between paid and organic channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, launch and manage PPC campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta Ads and other relevant paid platforms.
- Conduct thorough keyword research and competitor analysis to inform campaign strategy and identify growth opportunities.
- Continuously optimise ad copy, audience targeting, bidding strategies and landing pages to improve click-through and conversion rates.
- Monitor and manage budget allocation across accounts, ensuring spend efficiency and maximising return on ad spend (ROAS).
- Track, analyse and report on key performance metrics including CTR, CPA, ROAS, Quality Score and impression share.
- Generate regular client reports with clear insight, performance commentary and actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with the SEO and Strategy teams to align paid and organic visibility, supporting cohesive digital marketing plans.
- Stay up to date with platform changes, industry trends and emerging paid media opportunities to keep client campaigns competitive.
- Contribute to new business pitches and proposals with relevant paid media expertise and strategic thinking.
- Bring a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and take initiative in sharing ideas across the team.
- Collaborate openly on cross-channel projects, working alongside SEO, Strategy and Web teams to deliver joined-up results for clients.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Minimum 4 years’ hands-on experience in a PPC role
- Proven experience managing Google Ads campaigns (Search, Display, Shopping)
- Hands-on experience with Meta Ads Manager
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in
- Google Analytics and Data Studio / Looker Studio
- Solid understanding of conversion
- tracking, attribution and pixel setup
- Experience with keyword research tools (e.g. SEMrush, Ahrefs, Keyword Planner)
- Excellent written communication skills
- Google Ads certification (current)
- Proactive self-starter who takes initiative and spots opportunities without being prompted
- Natural collaborator who thrives working across teams on shared projects
Desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Ads (Bing) Familiarity with programmatic advertising or display networks
- Understanding of SEO principles and how paid and organic channels interact
- Experience in an agency environment managing multiple client accounts
- Knowledge of e-commerce and Shopping campaign management
- Experience with CRO tools and A/B testing platforms
- Meta Blueprint or other platform certifications
